Why should I use a DJ instead of using a live band?
When using a band, your guests are only going to hear what music the band is capable of playing. Project Groove, using today's technology, can play any genre of music without relying on the skills of its members by utilizing our extensive music library to entertain the musical interests of all your guests. This also means the music never stops. Project Groove will not charge you as much as a live band since we have fewer personnel. Bands also tend to put their own musical spin on your favorite songs. While unique, this can make it difficult for your guests to get into the music when the songs do not sound as familiar.
What type of audio and lighting equipment do you have?
Project Groove uses a state of the art sound system that includes a professional amplifier, satellite speakers, and subwoofers all manufactured by Electro-Voice, which is number one in audio sound equipment. We also use dynamic lighting via a T-bar or our truss system, depending on what services you choose. Project Groove uses both color and white lighting effects to achieve the right atmosphere and even has a green laser light to enhance the experience of the guests.
How will the DJ be dressed?
The DJ will be dressed in accordance to the dress code specifically selected upon the booking confirmation. As a rule, Project Groove would rather be overdressed than underdressed for your event. Project Groove will attempt to honor all requests.
Will I receive a written contract?
YES! Project Groove provides a written contract pertaining to all details for your event to protect the interests of our clients as well as our business. The contract is viewable from the web site and may be printed and faxed to our office.
What music will be played at my event?
The music selection for your event can be specified beforehand to ensure that Project Groove can meet your requests. We have an extensive library appealing to most people and with adequate notice, we can meet most requests. Additionally, if you or your guests have CDs, Project Groove is capable of playing the supplied music, providing it meets your specified music criteria for your event.
Will Project Groove be setting up while my guests are present?
No! Project Groove asks that we be allowed at least one hour prior to your event to set up our equipment and ensure that everything is working correctly and sounds great before your guests arrive.
Does Project Groove interact with the guests at my event?
The amount of interaction between the DJ and guests is up to you. Project Groove can be as interactive as you would like. We pride ourselves on being able to tailor the performance to suit your needs. Audience participation is always recommended, and we can use various theme inspired props to encourage participation, as this promotes party fun. However, should all you wish is some low background music; we can accommodate that as well. Again, it is entirely up to you.
Do you display any banners or other advertisements?
This is entirely dependent on the type of event and the preference of you, the client. However, if any of your guests would like a business card for future events, we will gladly provide them with the proper information in a professional manner.
Is Project Groove a licensed company?
Yes, we are a licensed company. If requested, we can provide a copy of our current business license.
Does Project Groove carry liability insurance?
Yes, we are fully insured. Our insurance carrier provides us with a blanket insurance policy that covers all events and venues, which can be provided upon request.
